In the Veneto region, in the northeast of Italy, between Verona and Venice lies Vicenza, one of the strongest economies in Europe. Tourism, metal engineering, food processing, textiles and clothing are some of the areas that characterize the productive and commercial heart of this area.
Vicenza, located in the center of the region, whose labor market is among the best in Italy, is strongly exports oriented. In fact, total volume exports from Vicenza is equal to that of the whole of Portugal. This economic strength lies in the wide diffusion of small-medium enterprises. In the province of Vicenza are registered more than 70.000 companies, in a total population of about 870.000 inhabitants.

The relationship between training system and companies have a long history, in terms of initial vocational training and continuing education.

In the numerous public and private training centers, the future workforce receives adequate preparation for the strategic development of the economic and productive system, while the skills of qualified personnel are constantly updated according to the evolution of the labor market. Vocational training centers, technical colleges and high schools, specialized training institutions and universities offer a range of training programs, which enable companies to meet the demand for skilled labor force.

Visits to training centers, discussions with the social partners, meetings with experts of the labor market and vocational training, opportunities for discussion with entrepreneurs and company visits are included in the program, to give a comprehensive overview of vocational training and productive system in Italy.

Vicenza and the Veneto region are ideal places to combine the professional experience of a study trip with a visit to particularly beautiful places, from the architectural, cultural and natural point of view.
About two hours from Vicenza, you can find the Arena di Verona, where are represented the great Verdi operas, the Renaissance villas of Andrea Palladio, the Giotto’s frescoes in Padua and the uniqueness of Venice.
